Using this site
These terms cover the public website of Enabling Access, a student-led project in Miami, Florida. Browsing the site, or emailing us about a device, a school chapter, or a partnership, is use of the site under these terms and the privacy policy.
Not medical advice
The site describes assistive devices and student work. It is not medical advice and it does not create a clinician relationship. A device is a custom tool for a stated everyday task. It is not a diagnosis or a promise of a medical result. Care decisions stay with you and your clinicians, including partners at the Christine E. Lynn Rehabilitation Center and The Miami Project.
Requests
An email starts a conversation. It does not guarantee a device, a date, or a design. Devices are offered at no cost when we can make them. You do not owe a fee for the device itself.
Information you send
Send only what is necessary: your email and the question, or the measurements and notes required for that device. Do not send full medical records or another person's information unless they, or a parent or guardian, asked you to and the detail is required. We use it only to reply and, if we take the request, to make and deliver the device. This site does not set tracking cookies. See the cookie policy.
Acceptable use
Do not use the site or our email to break the law, to send malware, to harass anyone, or to pretend to be Enabling Access. Do not submit someone else's personal information without a real need and permission.
Our material
Text, photos, and the Enabling Access name and logo belong to Enabling Access or to people who allowed us to show them. You may link to these pages. You may not copy the photos or the logo for your own product or fundraising without written permission.
Limits
The website is provided as it is. We work carefully and still cannot promise that every page is always available or free of mistakes. To the extent the law allows, Enabling Access and its students and advisors are not liable for indirect damages from use of the website. Nothing here limits liability the law does not allow us to limit. If a device is not right, write to us and we will work on a fix when we can.
Which law applies
These terms follow the laws of the State of Florida. Courts in Miami-Dade County, Florida, are the place for a dispute about the website, unless a law that protects you says otherwise.
